Pool Fencing
Providing pool maintenance and cleaning services our technicians often get asked about pool fencing requirements.
The information/links below may assist Victorian pool owners answering some of the most common questions we receive.
Domestic pools and spas throughout Victoria must be provided with safety barriers to prevent unsupervised small children from accessing the pool or spa area. This includes those in-ground and above ground and internal and external to the home.
Since 8 April 1991 all new pools and spas have needed barriers in accordance with the Building Code of Australia. Since 1994 barriers have been required for all the older pools and spas through special retro-fitting requirements under the Building Regulations.
